Database Developer – FinTech
Database Developer is sought by a growing City based FinTech to join their highly talented Software Development Team. This is a great opportunity for a Database Developer keen to gain exposure to the Financial Services domain and take ownership across a number of exciting projects and initiaves. The technical challenges are varied but for the right Database Developer numerious. Not only will you be accountable for stabilising and cleansing their existing brownfield Data Warehouse platform but future projects will focus to the development from scratch of an OLTP Data Warehouse solution; utilising T-SQL to build the ETL packages.
Initially focuses will be in T-SQL development, improving the performance of slow-moving queries and enhancing SQL Server as an engine as well as problem solving bottle necks and performance. As Database Developer there is terrific scope to extend your skillset in the Microsoft BI stack as well as Data Visualization tools. Using SSAS tabular models which feed a client portal solution the team produces analytics and aggregations froma variety of disparate data sources. If you have a flair/desire to influence Database and Data Warehouse architecture there is a terrific potential to take an active lead in developing a greenfield solution.
As Database Developer is a highly visible role this opportunity holds excellent potential for personal development and further career progression.
